This awards scheme succeeds the Deputy Prime Minister's Award for Sustainable Communities, which since 2003 has recognised projects and initiatives that contribute to making better places in which to live and work.
The awards celebrate achievement in the public, private and third sectors, they promote organisations, partnerships and individuals helping to transform our cities, towns or villages.
The awards help to identify good practice examples from which others can learn, as part of ASC's drive to deliver better places across the country.
